Mental Health

ASIST

 LivingWorks ASIST is a two-day face-to-face workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations.


At a LivingWorks ASIST workshop, you'll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive.


Two knowledgeable, supportive trainers will guide you through the course, ensuring your comfort and safety.

MHFA


 Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

QPR

The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. The signs of crisis are all around us. We believe that quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know. 


 Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught Gatekeeper training in the world.

Training

Safety is cited as a leading concern among front line workers. In this customized training, your team will learn the skills around how to prepare for, identify, and engage with those who might pose a threat. This training provides basic mental health information, de-escalation techniques, and safety measures. Tangible takeaways also include a site survey and workplace safety assessment. 

Debriefing

Debriefing for your staff after an incident including how to ensure that care is provided for those impacted, others around them, and the community. Resources for on-going support provided.

Faith-Based Communities

Faith-based communities face very real on-going and increasing safety concerns. Customized training for your lay staff, clergy, and members/ parishioners will provide tools for how to identify mental health concerns as well as physical safety threats. Trauma informed.


Cyber

Cyber Safety

Understand the intersection between online safety and mental health. Learn how to protect yourself from cyber-based criminals by identifying common techniques used by scammers, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you've been scammed.

Peer Support

Connect with peers who have experienced cyber related incidents like catfishing and other romance scams.



Cyber Technology Facilitated Abuse (TFA)

TFA includes trolling, impersonation, catfishing, image based abuse, doxxing, cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and hacking/ unauthorized access. Understand how and why people are victimized, what specific tactics hackers use, the impact of generative AI, gender-based violence in the metaverse, and recommendations for best practices.

Military

Customized training including resilience, burnout, suicide prevention training, and wellbeing for current military members. 

Veterans

Community violence and homicide are leading causes of death for young people. Customized training for providers and community organizations who work in these areas include education around the causes and lifecycle of violence, resilience and burnout prevention, and wellbeing for current providers who work in victims services.

As a highly sought-after presenter and consultant, Jen is a subject matter expert in trauma, violence intervention and de-escalation skills, suicide prevention, and resiliency.
